Dear Richard,(He is only apparently writing to me now since Tony is so horrible about writing to him!)
I just wrote you, but I only had a few minutes left to E-mail. I printed out pictures so I should get and send them on Wednesday.
Too bad my plaque has my old favorite scripture. My newest is D&C 11:20(Behold this is your work, to keep my commandments, yea, with all your might, mind and strength).
Elder Peterson is that same person my Mom spoke of. My strenghts are his weaknesses, and vice versa. I have learned in the past week patience and a lot of humility. There is so much hard work out here. I also learned it is OK to cry.
Since I have been out here I have found I love to teach. I also found out there are different kinds of missionaries. Ones who depend on packages from home and those that don't. I don't miss home. You notice the ones who depend on packages don't have that strong of a testimony.
I work hard everyday. I hope my companion will get in gear.
Oh! And thanks for writing me Tony!
Hearing from General Authorities in person is so powerful!
Living a life of a missionary is so amazing. It seems like the days are so long. When the Lord wants something done, He definitely provides a way. Even if that means lengthening the day.
Love,
Elder Sanchez

I hope this keeps up!
I am very impressed with Chandler's letter writing ability so far, let's hope it keeps up! Here is the latest letter we received from him.

2X because I have the worst writing. P-Day is Monday, but I get my mail everyday. Please write! Anytime!
We had Spanish Sacrament Meeting church yesterday. I can tell you, that I understood every word that was spoken in Spanish. My Companion is kinda like Troy. Takes his time, skinny, and doesn't talk. It's sort of frustrating but I pray. We are teaching the 1st lesson and because of Brother Richie, I am such a good teacher. I am so thankful for his lessons. Please tell him that. You can feel all the prayers that are said for missionaries everyday. I know the gospel is true!
Love,
Elder Sanchez
P.S. Mondays, 6:30 to 8:45 I might be answering phone calls for prospective investigators. People call the MTC, get the contact info and be an investigator. Call a few times to get me! :)
The people that call are interested in learing more about our church. And we council them.

Our First Letter
I was so happy to have Chandler already write us a letter, I didn't expect to get a letter 2 days after he went in!
Dear Chambers Clan
I made it through the first day. My Companion is Elder Peterson. The work here is true. The work here is hard but very achievable.
My roommate Elder Bliose, wears a onsie that a 3 to 4 year old would wear with trains and railroads. We all had a good laugh about it.
Sister Missionaries stopped us today to practice their Spanish. It was odd. They bore their testimony and challenged us to read the Book of Mormon.
There are so many books I get to read and learn. It is so exciting.
