Our first letter from Argentina!!!

Careful, they teach here that there is only 6 continents... that north and south are just one... called america... haha

I love this place people are poor and don't know it. we baptized, last Saturday, a family natilia and ezqieal they are amazing the younger boy wants to be baptized next week. I am in an area called esperanza here are some pictures...

The one with me and the cookie looking thing is called an alfajor. or in english pornounced for those that are not mexican... alpha hore. haha in the mission it's called milk a moose what I'm doing in the picture... long story.

Next is the picture of the family we baptised... she is a single mom with 4 or 5 kids. I can't remember and the man is the branch president. great family. natalia and ezaquiel. the other boy is getting baptised next sat. the one is withme and the president and my comp elder rathfon. he is great. we have lots of fun.

I don't have much time, but I want you to know I love you and thank you for being such great friends. I'll try and take more pictures and ask my mom about my starving story where i have now lost 10 lbs... haha its great.

I also want you to know I know this church is true and that this work is the most important work the Lord has for any one person to do. It's hard but thats why its called a mission.

love your other son

I know, I know!!! I am a complete and utter slacker!!! But do give me points, because I am down here on the computer on Sunday night KNOWING that tomorrow is your P-day, and you will get to check your e-mails!!! I am trying to be considerate, I really am!

Things are crazy as usual around here! I am still the cook, maid, bus driver, hair dresser, stylist, and other wise all around handy woman around here. But, I am doing good! And so are the kids. You will be happy to know that Cam Cam will NEVER like Colton as much as you. In fact, she doesn't even like him to talk to her. You will be also happy to know, that I have given up the "Dog Whistle" yell, as Tony calls it! We have started a new thing that if I am going to get upset with the kids, instead of yelling at them, I just call Tony and he takes care of the problem. I have to say, I have done remarkably well for my first day of no yelling, and I kind of like not having to be the bad guy all of the time. See, we can work together and be a team! I knew it was in us somewhere!!!! I also have figured out in our relationship, why hanging out with us made you say you are never getting married. Tony has a tendancy to treat me like I am the girl in high school that you really liked but you didn't your buddies to know that you like the girl! Anyways, I hope you got that! He does it now when Colton is around, and I think that is something he must of done with you around too, because I didn't feel it so much from him from the time you left until Colton started coming around a few weeks ago. I am not even making sense! But, don't give up on marriage! Having a spouse and family is something you will never want to be without once you have had one!

I really don't have much to tell you about! Life in the 3rd ward is pretty much the same. It is amazing to me that in just a few short weeks you are going to leave the MTC for the rest of your mission. Time has flown by! I can't believe how fast week after week just goes by. I must be getting old if I am making statements like that. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you family. ANYTHING at all! I would love to help while you are gone!

Take care and study hard!

Adios!!!

Ricki

AWW... its ok i know things are crazy rearing how many kids agian!?

Good yell at tony! he needs it.

you will never guess waht we are trying to teach people here? YEP! palabra de sabadaria! *word of wisdom* i have some serious nukes to pull out. if he hasnt quit by the time i get back im bringing out the big stuff. its hard but in d&c it says in vers. 3 or 4 that any one can do it. he calls apon the weak. =)

Tell cam cam i said hi and the other diablas! there isnt alot that happens here. i have no clue about the outside world. i get flight plans this friday and my visa this week. i leave in 2 weeks about. its so exciting.

we did have a tragety tho. one of our elders in our zone went home to take care of some things. he said he will be back but its sort of a sad thing that happens. its good at the same time. he is still progressing and working towards christ.

i dont have much more to say. if you email mne back before 3-4 ish today i can write back.

love elder sanchez
haha yeah i know. im so excited to leave NEXT MONDAY THE 3RD! yeah thanks for remembering... haha i understand. cheerleading sounds fun... lol... so glade i dont have kids,... i got my flight plans last thursday and i meet with the rep of argentina today at 315 my flight is...
delta lv: saltlake at 1:55 AR: atlanta GA 7:30
LV:atlanta GA 8:50 AR: Buenos aires, argentina. 9:45
im so excited to go and teach in argentina.

i hope my attitude has changed i have been working so hard on it. im so much more patient. and i will be like alma and call you to repentance. when i get home and you still have not commited you will have the best lesson of your life. we resently had the sister missionaries in the new district come teach us the word of wisdom. i was the hardest investigator of all time... bringing up things in d&c 89 verse 3 how its not a comandment.. etc... but it is do not use that as an excuse. it was given stirctly to the school of the profets at the time untill it was printed it. it was not a comandment for the rest of the church but it now is. remember the church is true. i miss you guys write back soon. i leave on monday at 10:00.

love Elder sanchez

These are some pictures Chandler sent to us a while ago. I can't believe he is leaving in 4 days for Argentina. It is amazing how fast time fly's by! We are so excited to start getting letters from Argentina.

You haven't written me for a long time. Good thing I'm not a little boy any more or I would have cried. =) so many fun things here. I hope tony is keeping to his commitment that he made with me?! If not, there will be some smack down. This is some serious stuff. if I dont get a positive convincing yes I have been keeping my commitmtments prepare for my letters in spanish!!!! We had a qourm of the 12 speak to us. L tom perry.

Learing a new lang is still hard. but I love it out here. It's so great to only have to worry about teaching the gospel. I have no idea what is going on in the outside world just that the gospel is going forward. I dont have the worries of where will I sleep? what will I eat? just what will I teach and how can I have the spirt with me always.

I testify to you Tony, that if you live the word of wisdom that you will be blessed and your family will be blessed. The word of wisdom is a health code given by the Lord. in Alma chapter 32 it talks about faith. If you will get up and excersize the words that i speak even to an experiment upon my words you can gain faith of these things.

i love you. the work is true. i love it so much. tell the girls i said hi! and my grilfriend. we have alot of fishing to do when i get back!

ill send a letter latter today as well.

love, Elder sanchez

Another Letter

Dear Richard,(He is only apparently writing to me now since Tony is so horrible about writing to him!)
I just wrote you, but I only had a few minutes left to E-mail. I printed out pictures so I should get and send them on Wednesday.

Too bad my plaque has my old favorite scripture. My newest is D&C 11:20(Behold this is your work, to keep my commandments, yea, with all your might, mind and strength).

Elder Peterson is that same person my Mom spoke of. My strenghts are his weaknesses, and vice versa. I have learned in the past week patience and a lot of humility. There is so much hard work out here. I also learned it is OK to cry.

Since I have been out here I have found I love to teach. I also found out there are different kinds of missionaries. Ones who depend on packages from home and those that don't. I don't miss home. You notice the ones who depend on packages don't have that strong of a testimony.

I work hard everyday. I hope my companion will get in gear.

Oh! And thanks for writing me Tony!

Hearing from General Authorities in person is so powerful!

Living a life of a missionary is so amazing. It seems like the days are so long. When the Lord wants something done, He definitely provides a way. Even if that means lengthening the day.

Love,
Elder Sanchez

The girls or Sister Missionaries get cuter every day.
